WHAT WE WANT TO DO

BUILDING COMMUNITY

We start with relationships. Real, messy, loving relationships in small groups. We start with discussions with friends, loved ones, people we meet in public.  As we build a network of relationships we create community.

This community allows us to show love to our entire city.

GATHERINGS

Jesus never said "Go to church". He told us to "go and make disciples." So gathering together should be learning, and then go sharing. And now we can gather thru Zoom and gruop gatherings. Interacting with each other, and learn and live together, to go out and spread the life and love of Jesus.

SERVE THE CITY

We express our love for God and our city by serving those less fortunate. Jesus says when you serve them, you serve Him.  We do this through one on one interactions in our daily lives individually,  and through groups going out to serve a specific area.

HOW WE DO IT

  • We have no payroll. We have no building. Every dollar you give goes into the mission and service to Knoxville, and ultimately the Kingdom of God.

  • We stress being a loving family within our community. One that is so strong and noticeable that others will want to find out what causes us to be this way.

  • As we grow, we split to create more home gatherings,  all under one umbrella mission. This adds accountability, flexibility, and capability to do way more for the Kingdom than just one church can alone. It's the book of Acts.

  • We develop leaders, make disciples, encourage developing relationships, discover and using your spiritual gifts, and working in ministry to help those who need it.

  • We are not politically motivated. We seek justice for all, and we don't let politics divide us. We let the Holy Spirit guide people's lives. But to do that, we must introduce the real Jesus to each person, both by teaching and actions. We trust the Holy Spirit to lead us.

WHY KINGDOM COME LIFE?

"Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven...forgive us as we forgive others". Jesus brought the Kingdom here. It's still coming, and will come to fruition. What we see in the world is too much division and violence. Our lives and what we do with them, can advance the Kingdom of God, and change the world, a little bit at a time. It's a Kingdom lifestyle. Forgiving others, demonstrating love and compassion in real-life settings. We all are not perfect. But in our imperfections, we can bond and relate to others.
